Restoration Projects
Many of the actions needed to protect stream and lake water quality are complex and involve a number of entities, such as grant or permitting agencies, property owners, and in some cases, public utility providers. Boone Watershed Partnership, Inc. is equipped to navigate this complexity and bridge gaps between regulatory and logistical aspects of implementing projects. BWP is the lead non-profit group in the area for seeking and receiving grant funds to carry projects forward. The key role of BWP is connect the necessary players involved with proposed projects. Project selection is based on water quality status and needs of the local community. You may read about BWP’s projects by click each one individually. These projects are funded, in part, under an agreement with the State of Tennessee and will utilize an EPA (319) grant through the Tennessee Department of Agriculture.
